Teens Pick Zac Efron, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom as Sexiest Movie Stars

Those that are responsible for marketing movies are always wondering what will brings teens into the movie theater. A recent survey by eCRUSH and Teen Topix revealed exactly what they want to know. This includes who they feel are the sexiest movie stars. This wasn't the only topic the study investigated though, it also studied how quickly teens see a movie at the theater, their sources of information about movies, and what movies they would like to see sequels made for. The results were published in a press release by OTX (On-line Testing exchange).

Movie makers are always looking to get a big first weekend, or first week crowd. What this survey of 750 teens revealed though is that even though only 27% of teens go to a movie in the first week of its release, a total of 71% of the teens that are going to see a movie go in the first two weeks of the release. Not many teens wait until the movie is on DVD or television though. Only 8% wait for the DVD to see the movie, and 1% wait for it to be shown on television.

It's a fact that sex sells, and teenagers enjoy sexy movie stars as much as anyone else. This summer there were quite a few in the theater. As far as sexy male movie stars, Zac Efron of Hairspray was voted as the sexiest with two actors from Pirates of The Caribbean finishing in second and third. They were Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom respectively. Jessica Alba in The Fantastic Four won the title for female stars in the survey. She was followed by Jessica Biel of Chuck and Larry and Keira Knightly of Pirates of The Caribbean.

You might think that with technology today teens hear about movies most often on the Internet or through their portable video players. That is not true though. 61% of teens hear about movies through television ads, followed by 46% hearing about it through trailers or from friends. According to the survey 70% of teens say if people are talking about a movie they are likely to go see it. Other reasons they go to see a movie are the genre of the movie (77% ) and the play (71%)
