I've never been asked how I plan on changing the world.

Nobody's ever said to me, "How are you going to better your town today?" or "How are your choices going to impact future generations?"

No one has ever mentioned the idea of my actions making a difference in the lives of others.

So when I received the assignment for our final paper, I gave it considerable thought before sitting down to write.

With that said, I believe that I can make a difference in my city, my state, and my world by every action that I make.

By doing little things like opening a door for someone, offering to help an older lady carry her groceries to her car, or by playing catch with a small child, I can make a difference in the life of someone I don't even know.

I believe that by being a good mother and teaching my son about different cultures and the importance of respecting those, and that by educating him to the best of my ability, I can make a difference in his life. If I educate, teach, and train my child, and if I love my child, I can make an impact so great on his life that he will want to make great impacts on other peoples' lives, as well.

I believe that by being a teacher, which is one of my future goals, I can make a difference in the lives of those that I teach and in the lives of my coworkers. I can inspire them by sharing the obstacles that I have faced in my own life and by encouraging them that they can get through whatever struggles they are facing. I can remind them of the cultures we have studied in this course and that even when it seems like everything you cherish has been stripped away from you, nobody can ever take your faith or your hope from you. Those you will always have.

I believe that by caring about my faith, I can encourage other people to depend on faith when they are having a tough time in life. If someone knows that I depend on my faith and my religion, even through the terrors I have experienced in my life, I believe that they will know that faith can help them through anything.

I believe that by volunteering to help the homeless and to hand out food to those who cannot afford it, I can make a difference, even for one day, in the life of a stranger.
