Chamba is situated at the height of around 3300 feet from the mean sea level. The weather here is really very good, all throughout the year. The summer has a maximum temperature of around 85 degrees F. Winter is little severe and the minimum temperature can go as low as 20 degrees F. It would be better to visit Chamba during October to March. Chamba is well connected by air, road, and the rail. The nearest airport is kangda that is around 85 miles away. The nearest railway station is Pathancot that is around 72 miles away from Chamba. The regular buses and the taxis are available from Dalhousie, Dharmsala, and Pathancot. Traveling by road is the best option out of all these three to reach Chamba. There are many good hotels available here having most of the facilities. However, there are no five star or luxury hotels available here.
