Scabies is a skin infection that's caused by the parasite, "Variety Hominis." The word "scabies" is Latin, and it means "itch." Itching is the main symptom of this infection. Scabies also causes a red rash of bumps that look like pimples to appear on your skin. You may be able to see tiny burrows in your skin underneath the rash. These burrows are caused by the female mite. She makes these so she can lay her eggs in them. Once the eggs hatch in three to ten days, the larva live in your skin and become mature parasites. There are a few products on the market used to treat Scabies, but homemade treatments for Scabies are a very effective treatment option. They are also the safest.
