Up in Smoke
With the blink of an eye, he's gone.
The smoke,
the trees,
the house around the lake,
the lake...
...he was gone.
The minute he arrived
he hardly existed.
He took the time to make his imprint,
and he just left it behind
to be blown by the wind again.
The fire consumed him,
the minute he allowed the fire to enter the door.
And before we knew it,
it was all gone,
Him.
The smoke.
The trees.
The houses around the lake
and his being,
Gone,
and without a trace.
