Favorite Halloween Sites on the Net
Halloween is just around the corner, which means exciting times are fast approaching. Those of us who enjoy Halloween no doubt enjoy the decorations, party foods, scary movies, costumes, etc. A little planning can make this holiday a lot of fun. There are a lot of Halloween websites out
there that can add to the enjoyment of the holiday - these are my favorites.
Free ecards aren't just for the major holidays like birthdays and Thanksgiving. There is a great collection of free ecards at 123greetings. This site has a wide variety of really fun Halloween cards, in categories like "Jack O'Lantern", "Horror" and "Witches". The site is easy to navigate, the cards are great, and all of them are free. This site is a great place to start your Halloween festivities.
If you want to have a fun, kid friendly Halloween party, check out partygameideas.com. The site has a good list of fun Halloween activities that people of all ages can enjoy, like "build a scarecrow" and "mummy wrap". These games would also be really fun for those of us that don't want to grow up (you know who you are).
If you need a Halloween costume, and either don't have the time to go to a store and pick one out, or you don't want to make one, try visiting halloweenexpress.com. The site has costumes for kids and adults, listed in numerous categories. The site even has accessories, makeup, decorations and props.
Haunted houses can be quite fun as well. Horrorfind.com is a great resource. It has information on many commercial haunted houses, listed by state. Almost every state has at least a few haunted houses listed.
If watching scary movies on Halloween isn't enough, head over to Fearnet.com. The site has info on a lot of horror movies, plus you can watch movies on the site. Discussion forums and contests add to the fun. The selection of movies available for viewing rotates regularly, and the site is free.
Lastly, try searching around here on AC. Many CPs have great Halloween articles. The content producers here are quick to share their ideas and tips for costumes, party foods and more.
