The Denver Broncos invade Buffalo to take on the Bills in a very tough grind it out type of contest in week one, and will showcase one of the league's perennially best running games.

Buffalo will be looking to establish a running game as well against a young Denver front four, and a suddenly suspect line-backing corp. This game also marks the return of former Buffalo star running back Travis Henry, now wearing the the bright orange.

The Denver Broncos will be hammering the ball with Henry, and trying to establish dominance in the trenches. When Henry gets tired, then they will be bringing in backup Mike Bell, who can move a pile as well.

The success of the Denver running attack will dictate the action as second year quarterback Jay Cutler is still getting his feet under him after an up and down rookie campaign. Cutler will need the play action passes to settle himself into the game and find his rhythm. If he does, it will be a long day for Buffalo.

Buffalo will be looking to accomplish much the same thing, but with less experienced ammunition. Marshawn Lynch is the man in this offense and it will be his first snaps in the NFL. He certainly seems to have all the tools to be a star, but you do not really know what will happen until they strap up the cleats.

He will do well in this first NFL game, but it will be marginal because of a lack of experience around him. The Bills are an incredibly young team, and have 12 starters with less than three years of experience. They will be tough in years to come, but this year will be a year of hard knocks.

Denver will almost certainly exert their will on Buffalo in the trenches in this match up, and should control the ground game. Henry will be amped up to perform in front of his old team and crowd, and will gash the Bills all day. His talent has been overlooked in recent years, and Denver is the place to be for running backs. The two show to be a wonderful pair in this match up.

Final Score - Denver Broncos 28 Buffalo Bills 10

Takeaways
  • Rookie Marshawn Lynch will debut in Buffalo in week one.
  • Travis Henry will play in Buffalo for the first time as a Bronco
  • Denver will control the trenches
