There is plenty to do when you make a trip to the Kaloko - Honokohau National Historic Park. Take along a picnic and enjoy some relaxation. Make sure that you have plenty of suntan lotion and your sunglasses with you. You are bound to get some wonderful sunshine. When you are thinking of visiting the Kaloko - Honokohau National Historical Park you will want to write to them at 73-4786 Kanalani Street, # 4 in Kailua - Kona, HI 96740. They can also be reached by calling the Hale Ho'okipa Visitor Contact Station at 808-326-9057 or the Administrative Offices at 808-329-6881. they will be able to assist you with any questions that you might have about the site. Be sure to get a map of the park so that you can prepare in advance for what all that you wish to do when you are there. Ask them about other interesting places in the area that you might also want to visit. They will have some very good recommendations for you. Then, find out if there are any special events and plan on attending them when you get there. Get the very most out of your trip by planning early and well. Then, you will sure to have a great time.

Some things to keep in mind when you are visiting this site is that there is not a fee associated with admission. You will also want to take note that there is not camping permitted in the park. The Visitor Station is open from 8:30 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon and you will want to take note that the gates are locked at 5 in the afternoon. You can stay in the park, but not in the parking lot of Visitor Station after the 5 o'clock hour.
