Review: Turbo Kick - The Ultimate Kickboxing Workout
It is called Turbo Kick and it is a high intensity, high energy and extremely fun way to do kick boxing. It brings kick boxing to a whole new level. There are three parts about Turbo Kick that makes it an unique, fun and great workout.
The first part is the music. Now I have always needed music playing when I work out. Whether I'm in an aerobics class or doing the elliptical, I need energetic music to keep me going. Well, Turbo Kick has some of the best music I have ever heard in an aerobics class. It is fast, has a great beat all the way through and it makes you feel like there's a party going on. It definitely does a good job of keeping you motivated to keep going.
Another part of Turbo Kick that makes it so much fun to do, are the kick boxing routines themselves. Since this is an all cardio class, you work every single part of your body, from head to toe. And the best part is you do the same routine over a period of two to three months, so you have time to get the routine down really well and really make it work for you.
In the beginning of the routine, you have your warm up, then you move onto the first of several upper and lower body kick boxing moves and then you start the Turbo section. The Turbo section is where you do a one to two minute interval of high intensity moves as many times as the instructor allows. After you have done Turbo, there's the recovery and then the finale. And if you want an ab workout, the wheel move and the zig-zag move will make those love handles disappear in no time!
Finally, the third and best part of Turbo Kick is the way it makes you feel after the class is over. It makes you feel great. You walk out of there standing a bit straighter and feeling like you can take on anything that is thrown at you. I always make sure to do Turbo Kick in the beginning of the week because it sets the tone for the rest of the week. If I have a good Turbo workout, I know my week has started out great.
