Halloween, one the year's most festive nights will soon be here. Before you know it the leaves will be turning, the air will turn crisp and pumpkins will appear on lawns. Our thoughts will turn to the night that always presents the question, "What am i going to wear"?. Should I wear this costume? That costume? A time honored costume or something unique? If you think outside the box and like being unique one of the following costumes might appeal to you. Choose one of these and you will be sure to stand out in the crowd.

If you go out in your "Fruit of the Loom" grapes costume you can be certain you will be the only grapes there! All that is necessary is the correct colored leotard, neck to toe, and the proper colored balloons. Some opt to include the the cap, which could be a shower cap dyed purple, or a purple ball you'd cut in half. "Boo!" and beware of pins.

Who hasn't seen the wonderful Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds" ? Poor Tippi Hedron gets pecked by the whole flock at the film's end. For a unique costume noone else will have on: wear a conservative suit and pair it with some large, white, stuffed birds. These birds are available at craft stores and online year round Christmas stores. Glue or pin birds to the suit. Perhaps you would like to pin some in your hair. Fake blood is an optional final piece for a costume that will be the subject of conversation. "Ask not for whom the bird tolls."

"Half and half" costumes are inventive and usually the main component of creating them is sewing.
For example: Your costtume could be half bride, half groom. Sew together half a bridal gown to half a tuxedo.
(It is easiest to put the two halves on and enlist the help of a friend with needle. Other wise make sure it is loose enough to go over your head) Then just do makeup and hair to match each side. You can think
Victor/ Victoria (half male, half female) but there ar emany combinations one could consider. How about half cop, half robber? I'm sure you can think of some other unique half and half costume combinations.

Did You Know?
The thin foam used under carpetting can be used to make hundreds of different costumes.
