10 Original Martini Recipes that You'll Love!
When most people think “martini”, they picture the usual gin, vermouth and olives. Well not anymore! Now martinis have branched out into a whole new world incorporating almost ever liquor you can think of! This is wonderful for people like myself, not being a gin fan.
I used to bartend at a high-end martini bar so I learned a million combinations of martinis. I guarantee everybody can find one martini they like regardless of their personal tastes. Best of all, you don’t have to break
Before you get started there’s a few things you will need. Obviously the liquor, ice and two glasses to shake them in and a martini (or any drinking) glass. Don’t be tricked into buying expensive shakers or pourers! Like I said, two of the same glass will work fine!
How to Chill and Pour:
Fill one of the glasses with ice. Pour you liquors into it. Allow to sit for a second then pour the first glass into the second empty glass. I do this about three times, alternating glasses. Then use the two glasses to strain the liquor into your martini glass. Do this by placing lip to lip at about a 45 degree angle. Then slowly lift the glasses while holding them together to strain the contents into your main glass. After a few tries you’ll be a pro. I suggest practicing with water and ice the first time so you don’t waste any liquor!
