On our last visit to New Hampshire, it was 11.15 a.m. and there were 12 hungry people wanting lunch at the Weathervane Restaurant in Bedford, New Hampshire. The young lady looked at us and said a table for four and we said "No we are the party of twelve". Not a problem for them as the restaurant was completely empty.

Just a few minutes later they had pushed 4 tables together, giving us plenty of room. We were handed the menus and were looking at them when our drinks orders were taken.

As it was so early we settled for lemonade, diet coke, coke, water, coffee, and Len's ex-wife had a cocktail.

The drinks came out with two baskets filled with bread rolls and butter. By the time they got to our end of the table they were all gone. Not to worry we would get her attention a little later.

We were ready to order and she came to us first. I asked for the bill for the entire party, as Len was the grandfather of the bride to be.

I believe we had 6 of the lunch portions of fish and chips, which was haddock at $6.95, 1 small Caesar salad and clam chowder soup, 1 large chicken Caesar salad $7.25, 1 fried chicken tender dinner $8.95, 1 broiled 3-way combo, comprising of Salmon, swordfish and scallops $14.45. There was the extra soups and salads ordered too. At this time we asked for more rolls and refills on the sodas.

We really did not see our server between seating us, the drinks, taking of the orders, and then delivering them.

However, when our food came out another lady was helping her. The dishes looked good, were plentiful, and as always tasted wonderful. Our fish came with French fries and coleslaw. We were chatting and catching up with all the family. By the time we had finished eating there were a few French fries and some salad remaining on the table.

Everyone commented on how fresh, hot, and good the food was. Well, being the first customers of the day it should have been.

You could have sat three to a seat and waited to see how long it would have taken her to figure it out. :)

Sounds great! I must admit that although I am vegetarian, I do miss eating fish sometimes.
