That's exactly how they make their money, they "help" you find health insurance one time and then add their fee to your monthly premium. It's such a rip off, especially since you are perfectly capable of finding your own health insurance and you're the one needing the insurance anyway. You also need to avoid online programs that offer to give you health nsurance rates for two or three insurance agencies because they are basically an online broker so they will do the same thing and add their fee in. You can contact the major insurers yourself through their websites or even by phone. Any search engine will find the insurer's website where you will be able to find all the information you need to begin your health insurance shopping process without a broker fee.

Secondly, don't be afraid to shop around. In fact you need to shop around to get the best rate. I went to two or three different insurance agencies and the one I finally signed on with was $100 a month cheaper than anything else I had found. So shopping around will save you money.
