Aloe Soothing Day Cream from the Body Shop - Great for Sensitive Skin
I am totally addicted to the Body Shop. Actually, all places which sell wonderful butter and creams and bath gels and and... well, you get the drift. I like to pamper myself. After getting my eyebrows waxed one day recently I decided to drop in to the local Body
Shop and see if I could find something to soothe that area which was feeling pretty tender due to the torture. The gal did a great job, but man did it hurt! What I settled on as a solution was this here Aloe Soothing Day Cream. It did the job.
This Aloe Soothing Day Cream comes in light green jar which just screams cool and refreshing. Upon opening the stuff, I took a whiff and was further heartened that this was the right item to buy at the time. You see, I was to meet a fellow writer for coffee and gossip and I really really wanted that redness from the waxing to just like go the hell away ASAP. heh.
The Aloe scent in the Day Cream is subtle, but is very soothing in itself. I mean, the stuff smells all kinds of hydrating. Like a wonderful ocean kinda scent, sans the salt.
The Body Shop sez:
An easily absorbed, hydrating and moisturizing cream that leaves the skin feeling soothes, soft and smooth. Calming, protecting, and instantly comforting on sensitive skin. Dermatologically approved and clinically proven as suitable for sensitive skin.
Well that portion of my skin was sensitive right then, that's for sure. This did indeed feel cool going on and absorbed almost immediately leaving me feeling very refreshed and hopeful. The Aloe took the majority of the sting away upon contact and the Glycerin continued the job as the minutes ticked by. What a great ingredient combo. It did leave my face feeling soft and smooth. It did not irritate that abused area one bit. Score!
As a rule, I do not have sensitive skin at all so this Aloe Soothing Day Cream is not an item I would have normally purchased, but I am very glad they had it this day. It was just what I needed.
