Creative Ways to Have a Beautiful Wedding

Every girl has a dream of her wedding day. A fairytale wedding with a beautiful gown in an elaborately decorated church with Mr. Right standing at the altar is a common dream. Of course the reality is that a beautiful wedding can be expensive. Even if one can afford to spend the kind of cash required, many people simply do not want spend several thousand dollars for a ceremony that is over in a few hours. However, with a bit of planning, anyone can have a beautiful wedding without spending a fortune to do it. First of all, "think outside the box". Items that are marketed as a wedding item usually have a high price tag to go with them. Look in other sections of the store for the same item. Look in wholesale shops, dollar or less stores and hobby/craft stores. You can find great decorations for a fraction of the cost. Be creative. A bit of hot glue and some pearls from the craft section or a bit of lace or tulle can turn an ordinary item into a one of a kind masterpiece. Hit the post holiday sales for a real bargain. Strands of "pearls" for Christmas trees as well as Valentine's Day decorations go beautifully at weddings.
When looking for a wedding gown, again, do not limit yourself to bridal section of a shop. I recently saw a gorgeous white ball gown with silver embroidery for $79.00. It was at a clearance sale of prom gowns, but this dress would have rivaled the most beautiful wedding gown. Purchased as a wedding gown it would have easily cost over $1000.00!
Look in discount stores, thrift stores and even garage sales. My absolute favorite has to be Ebay. It does take some work but you can set up the option to let Ebay notify you when a dress that meets your criteria is listed. I purchased a lavish gown with cathedral train for $20.00 plus $15.00 to ship it. It was beautiful! Ebay can also be used to buy the rest of your wedding party's attire. Another option is to use your mother or another family members wedding gown. It can be a sentimental gesture that could start a family tradition, and wouldn't cost a dime.
