The majority call of the few who dare to step forward is for a universal healthcare system to abate the crisis in the U.S. The question from these people should be altered from is it the answer to how do we make it the answer. Once again politics goes into play and everyone is dropping the ball.

Define what you mean by Universal Healthcare carefully.

John Edwards embarrassed himself by first calling his proposal to create a proposal a Universal Healthcare plan. Next he followed up with some nonsense about how it would be determined state by state. Please someone help this man to stop setting himself up as Ann Coulter fodder. Mr. Edwards (maybe in this case it should be Mr ED), I don't know what dictionary you are culling from you words from. I assure you that the four I have concur that universal in the sense you use the word means all encompassing. State by state is not all encompassing.

Edwards is not the only one to make this mistake. If you google or yodel (yahoo) "universal healthcare" you will see organizations that call for statewide universal healthcare. Truly, I believe this is no place for govenortorial run fiefdoms. All you are doing is confusing the public and offering insurance companies different loopholes to exploit. Which in case anyone is looking away, is a major part of the problem that needs to be corrected. Also someone should remind John Edwards he is campaigning to be President of the United States and not the 50 Individually Run States and Commonwealths.

Is Universal Healthcare a fancy pants moniker for Socialized Medicine?

Hillary Clinton is proposing a socialized medicine form of Universal Healthcare. Now, the Clintons have been on the forefront for healthcare since Bubba started running for office. In the end capitalism won out. I believe that only proved the Clinton's were on to something. I also believe that if Bubba hadn't lost the respect of his peers, he could have started the ball rolling, instead of dropping the ball (or pants--whatever) as he did.
