Abortion pretty much has no standing in the animal rights movement. With all movements especially with animal rights, you're going to have your moderates and then you're going to have your radicals. The moderates would probably be split between the subject on abortion. When you're a moderate, you take philosophies and teachings into moderation and not out of context.

The radicals whom are more harsh and militant tend to take things out of context. In short, they really don't care about anything else other than their cause. With moderates, there are probably people whom are pro-choice when it comes to terms on abortion and there are probably people whom are pro-life. Yes, there are environmentalists out there in the world today whom are pro-life.

With the moderates, it's pretty much split between pro-life and pro-choice. More most of the animal rights supporters are left-wing. Highly likely that most of the members and supporter of the animal rights movement are pro-choice. In the case of the more militant members and supporter, it's pro-choice bordering on pro-death. The more militant activists such as Ingrid Newkirk the head of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animans (PETA) is one of those pro-choice/death advocates in a sense.

To the more radical members, they think abortion is a great idea as it cuts down on the number of humans born in this world. They think saving animals are far more important than human life. Of course the idea of PETA is noble. But those people really take it out of context.

On the far right with the religious fanatics, they feel that abortion is wrong and that all human life is precious. With the animal rights activists on the far left feel that all animal life is precious. PETA itself doesn't really have a stance on abortion. But PETA doesn't really represent the animal rights movement.

I don't really understand the point of this article. Why should animal rights activists publicly agree on an abortion stance? They are 2 completely separate issues. Honestly, I thought you were talking about abortions for animals until I read further on. It's hard enough to support one issue, let alone 2 or more. Most people commit themselves to the issue that tugs at their heart most. PETA supports animals rights and that is all they have claimed to support. Perhaps they go too far sometimes, but what does that have to do with abortions? It sounds like you meant to write an article against abortion but somehow missed the mark. Also, I know it is an emotional topic, but you might want to try to present the facts and leave your emotions out of it next time.
