For years I have buttered bread and broiled it in my oven broiler. I've never had a large toaster, and my family likes toast; so usually I just put many slices in the oven to broil them. Last week I was in Wal-Mart and the Black & Decker (T125BC) 4 slice toaster caught my eye. The price was right up my ally, at $29.94. I looked it over and the best thing I liked about it was that it had extra wide slots to accommodate other things besides just loaf bread. I could toast bagels and waffles and even slices of home made bread. I have a bread maker and I thought this toaster would really suit my family's needs.

The Back & Decker 4 slice toaster has a dual control for different darkness preferences. This works out really well for us because my daughter likes her toast almost burnt to a crisp and I like mine light. I can make our toast at the same time and not have to watch it. The toast pops up perfectly every time. We like bagels, and this toaster makes them nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. They are just heavenly toasted in this toaster.

Have you ever toasted frozen waffles and when they popped up they were either still frozen or burned to a crisp? This toaster has a control for frozen items like waffles, and toasts them perfectly in one step from frozen to perfectly toasted. I cannot say enough good things about this toaster. I can toast hamburger buns, English muffins, perfectly every time. When we have hamburgers, I used to toast the buns in the broiler of my oven, but not anymore. I've burned them in the broiler several times because I got busy doing something else and forgot about them. This toaster just pops them up when they are done.

This Black & Decker toaster has a safety feature built in, which is an automatic power off feature. If for some reason the toaster was to get too hot the toaster will cut itself off. This toaster also has a built in cord wrap so that the cord is not always visible. I just leave mine plugged in all the time.

I too have a bread machine and think this would do well. Our other hashbrown love would be served well too. Thank you so much for telling us of our next toaster we shall get.

My toaster just bit the dust and I was thinking how nice it would be to have one that toasted more than 2 slices at a time! I like the waffle control feature. I think Charlene just found me a new toaster!!
