During the fall season I wait all week for football Sunday. There's just something so relaxing about hanging out at my favorite bar and catching the game. A bad bar is enough to ruin those Sunday's I look forward to. Here is my suggestion of the best place to catch the game in Norfolk, Virginia.

If you're looking for a great bar that is guaranteed to be broadcasting your team's game, than the place for you is Jillian's at Waterside. Waterside is located in downtown Norfolk and is easily accessed off of Interstate 264. The easiest place to park is in the parking garage and you can cross the street using the covered walkway to get into the building where Jillian's is.

In the bar area of Jillian's there are TV's on practically every surface of the place. They boast seventeen large screen TV's. They broadcast every game and you will be sure to catch the one you're there for. You can sit at a table or at the bar and be able to see the game you want. You need to make sure to get there early, before the games start, to secure a seat near your TV. The place fills up fast and you may not get in to watch the game.

If the game bores you or you are accompanying someone who wants to watch, there are plenty of other things you can do to entertain yourself. If you like to play pool, Jillian's has a great pool area right next to the main entrance of the restaurant. There is also a huge game room with every imaginable game machine to test your skills on. They even have an indoor bowling alley! Jillian's does allow you to drink your favorite beverage (including alcohol) while playing their games.

If you're hungry, they have a great menu to choose items from. Jillian's serves pizza, sandwiches and burgers. They have pretty much something for everyone to eat. I recommend their ultimate nachos as a great starter and their white pizza as a meal. I tried both and they were both prepared and served great and really hit the spot. They also have all the soda and other beverages of a regular restaurant. Beer and other alcoholic drinks are decently priced and a good choice to drink while watching the game.
