ABC Announces Casting Call for a New Primetime TV Show - "Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann"

Are you an amateur dancer who dreams of being on TV?

This September is your chance to get one dance move closer to realizing those dreams. ABC has announced open auditions for their new primetime television show Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann.

Dance War will be a battle between the judges of the hit television show Dancing with the Stars, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, to create "the ultimate performance group". Each judge will assemble their own dance group who then will compete against one another during the course of the show. The competition will feature a mixture of dance styles as well as singing. The audience will vote for their favorite group each week. And one dancer will then be eliminated from the losing group.

Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann will be hosted by former 98 Degrees member and Dancing with Stars winner Drew Lachey.

Auditions are only open to amateur dancers, 18 years old and older, who are legal U.S. residents. You must bring proper photo ID (drivers license, passport, or state ID) to the auditions.

According to ABC, "an amateur is an individual who has not appeared for pay on a national telecast, a theatrical film, a professional first-class or major regional theater live stage show or a nationally released CD. If you have appeared as a paid performer in one of the foregoing, you still may be eligible if the producers determine in their sole discretion based on the information you provide that you should not be considered to be a professional performer."
