It's time, those of you who know Gough Whitlam will know what I'm talking about. John Howard had been the Prime Minister of Australia for around 11 years now and I'd say enough's enough. It's time for change; he has done enough damage to Australia already. Let's take a trip down memory lane and analyse his track record and do a bit of digging like what he loves to do to his political opponents. Yes, I'm talking about the Kevin Rudd in a US strip club affair, Mark Latham's term as Mayor and many others.

Firstly, the Howard government prides itself to be have strong economic policies which is responsible for Australia's strong position in the global market, or so he wants us voters to believe. The fact is, he is doing more bad than good, as most economists can tell you, having a surplus in the budget does not automatically mean that everything is going well, sometimes having a deficient is not all bad. The Howard government in its attempt to keep the budget in the green has been selling national assets; first there was the airport, Qantas and now Telstra. These are essential pieces of infrastructure that can't afford to go into foreign hands. Telstra owns most of the infrastructure that our internet and phone systems run on, the thought of having a foreign company providing those services to me is unimaginable. It's not because I'm racist, it has got nothing to do with that, it is because being owned by the government puts the power in our, the voter's hands as it makes them answerable to us the public. If they do anything against the best interest of the Australian public, then we can give them a piece of our minds come election time, however if the company is in foreign hands, we do not have a say at all. Selling off important infrastructure was a grave mistake.
