Just Feeling Kind of Blah
I know we have all had times like I am having lately. I feel as if I am the only person in the world that could possible get this sick in the summer!
My back started bothering me a couple weeks ago. I'm still not sure what is happening with that. I just know that everything I do puts me in severe pain. And, when you have to work and have no choice but to move, pain is not your friend!
On Tuesday I woke up with a sore throat. I spent most of that day cursing under my breath, then tried to nurse myself. It was my day off, so I had no problem laying around the house! By Tuesday night, I felt somewhat better. I went to work on Wednesday as planned. Only, I seemed to be getting worse. My nose was so stuffy, I talked like...well, I don't know how to describe it!
My muscles ached so much that it hurt to move. Working that night was torture. Somehow, though, I made it through. But, I crashed and burned almost as soon as I got home. I don't remember much about that night. I just remember waking up on my living room floor about 5:30 in the morning. Needless to say, I called off of work. Then, I went back to bed. Until just a few hours ago, I have been drifting in and out of consciousness. And, now, my back hurts again. I'm going to work tomorrow, Lord help me. My cold seems to be clearing. Keeping myself drugged helps nicely. I'm off on Sunday, so I only have one day to push myself through. I don't want to have to endure this again anytime soon, though I can't say I won't. I always seem to be sick. Wish me luck, for I may need it.
