Well the year is almost over, only four more months left to go. And so far this year has been slightly disappointing as far as film enjoyment go. Now I know that it had been a record braking year for the box office but that doesn't mean that the films were all that great. I get tired of being stoked to see a movie and leave the theater disappointed and 40 dollars lighter. Here is my list of the top 2007 movies that didn't live up to the hype.

January
I was so excited to see Epic Movie. I love spoofs. What a disappointment this was, one lame joke after another. Where's my generation's Airplane?

February
Ghost Rider is based on a pretty cool comic, or so I hear. The movie had great special effects and some seriously bad overacting and the worst dialogue I've heard since, well, Epic Movie.

March
How could I Think I Love My Wife be bad? It has Chris Rock, who in my household we still refer to as Pookie. But then I remembered Chris Rock can tell a joke but he sure as hell can't act.

March had another terrible movie that I just can't ignore, The Last Mimzy. I have two small children both under the age of ten so I see quite a few child friendly films. The Last Mimzy may be the worst movie of 2007. I cannot describe how stupid this movie is. The acting is terrible (because besides Dakota Fanning most kids can't act). The story is ridiculous and terribly contrived. But I was excited to see it because Rainn Wilson is in it and I am a diehard Office fan. But unfortunately Mr. Wilson could not save this craptacular craptacular film.

Blades of Glory was a terrible disappointment as well. I watched the previews and was duped into going to this movie. I thought "Will Ferrell good, that weird kid from Napoleon Dynamite good". This movie was so bad that I actually fell asleep halfway through. I have no idea how it ends and really don't care.

April
In the month of April I saw Next with Nicolas Cage. When will I learn? Nick Cage no longer makes good movies. Through the whole movie all I wanted to know was why did he have Tom Hanks hair from The Davinci Code in this film?

Instead of going to the movies, I stay at home writing articles. My bank account looks a lot better.

Spiderman 3 was the summer's biggest dissapointment by far. I think you might going a little too hard on The Simpsons movie though. Otherwise, great article and you picked some very deserving movies that brought the crap on themselves.

Great info on the movies. Luckily I haven't seen any of them and sounds like that is a good thing.

A trailer usually has the best parts of the new movie coming out....we sit and wait for that part to show up and then it's like the rest is all a letdown.
