Creative advertising can be done in many different ways. We will mention a few in this article, but this is just to get you started. Creative advertising is doing something different or using an advertising media not commonly used. We are going to mention five different ways to used creative advertising for your pet store. They are as follows:

1.Craigslist Marketing- This is a low cost or in most cases a free method of advertising. The key is to not to post the same ad more than once every 48 hours. The way around that is to make three different ads to post to your city or region. Post one each day. Before you repost the same ad, make sure you delete the original ad. Hit repost and your ad is back to the front page. Don't get greedy and break these rules or your posts will be deleted. One last thing is make sure your titles are different for every ad.

2.Using a Testimonial as Your Ad- Take a testimonial or two and post it as an ad. By doing this, it will add more credibility to your advertising. You could also list a separate ad right next to your testimonial.

3.Door Hanger Advertising- This is an effective way to get your ad read by many people. It is inexpensive to have door hangers made up. Your message should be on one product or service or even let your customers know everything is on sale. The biggest cost is getting these distributed to your potential customers. There are companies that specialize in this or you could hire a reliable young person to keep your costs down.

4.Post Card Marketing- Works the same as Door Hanger advertising except thru the post office. I would use this for a huge special event or sale to make the cost worthwhile. You can mail to your mailing list or even rent a mailing list, if you want a huge mailing.

Takeaways
  • Thinking out of the box is essential to grow your pet store.
  • Take a testimonial or two and post it as an ad.
  • Use door hangers or post cards to get your message out.
