Skott Freedman
"Some Company"
Violent Yodel Records/2003

"Some Company" is the fourth album by New Jersey native Skott Freedman. This 20 something piano playing singer/songwriter has been playing music most of his life. The album is an intimate collection of 12 songs of mostly original tunes - with Skott and his piano. Close your eyes and you can imagine Skott performing only for you. Skott's songs are like a one sided conversation that conveys a story similar to the songs of Tracey Chapman.

In "Some Company" Skott highlights his voice and shows off his virtuosity at the piano with moving melodies and strong arpeggio runs. In a day when electronic manipulation of songs and voices is the norm "Some Company" is a welcome relief and restores the faith that musicians really can perform well without the help of electronic tricks and gimmicks.

Skott has just released his fifth album "Judge a Book" which is a collection of covers that were chosen by fan vote.

Skott Freedman's CDs can be purchased from iTunes and via his website www.skottfreedman.com.
