Review of Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer

This is a review of Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer. This moisturizer has self-tanners in it that are meant to be subtle. While using this moisturizer, you must be cautious because you will find that this moisturizer is less than subtle on your hands, and in between your fingers. I found out the hard way, as I was leaving to go out with some friends, and noticed that my hands had the telltale signs of my feigned tan!

My favorite part of this product was the smell, it was fresh and nice - made I want to rub it all over my body. The smell refreshed me from a shower, after I usually applied to lotion, to clean, dry skin.

The fact that there were three tones to choose from was refreshing as well. Often, with self-tanners, there is one tone, and that is it.

This lotion was not suitable for facial use, thus, I did not try to apply it to my face.

I would have enjoyed the lotion more, if it were not in such strength, I feel that it would be suitable to mix with one of your regular moisturizers. I have recently done this, and found that it added more of an even glow to my skin. Using the lotion at full strength was too much for medium skin tone.

I was not pale to begin with, but after using the lotion three times, it was effective. Although it worked quickly, I almost felt that it worked a little too quickly - and the subtle self-tanners were not so subtle! Overall, it moisturized well, but to use daily as recommended would be too much.

Although it would be too much to apply the lotion daily, I believe the directions are as such to take into account the amount of color that is going to transfer off during the day.

While I was wearing it, there was a large amount of color that transferred - to my sheets, to my clothing, and to other parts of my body! This was a very memorable experience, very much so - I would not use the lotion again.

The price was almost ten dollars, therefore I did not want to waste the rest of the lotion that I was not going to use, and therefore I have diluted it with some moisturizer that I had in my cabinet.

I have used some good self-tanners in the past, to which Dove Energy glow does not compare with. Unfortunately, I would not recommend anyone to use this product!
