Planet Fitness-Greensboro, NC

When my husband and I were looking for a workout facility to join, we were stressed out with all of the choices we had. There are many different gyms and health clubs in Greensboro, North Carolina. One afternoon we were sitting with our neighbors and they were telling us about a gym that they had just become members of. The facility was just a few miles from our home and the joining fees were very competitive. That next day we received a mailer from Planet Fitness in our daily mail. I took the mailer to my neighbors house and she informed me that this was the same place they had joined! Planet Fitness does not allow bodybuilders to come in and make all those grunting sounds and drop the weights. They are known as the "judgement free zone" and pride themselves in making all members and guests comfortable.

My husband and I went to Planet Fitness to tour the facility and ask about membership costs. We were immediately greeted and welcomed by friendly customer service staff. They had us sign in on the guest log and then took us on a tour of the facility. The gym was very large and had a variety of weight machines, cardio equipment and a 30-minute express circuit. There were several different tanning bed rooms and the bathrooms were way more than we expected. There are women's and men's bathrooms that have an abundance of lockers, restroom stalls and showers. There is also massage chairs for the black card members.

There were two different membership choices when we went to enroll at Planet Fitness. The basic membership and the black card membership. The basic membership allowed the member unlimited visits to the gym with no commitment for $10 a month paid via bank draft. With the black card membership, you did have to sign a contract for a year and your payments are $20 a month paid via bank draft. However, the black card membership allows members to bring one guest each time they visit the gym, unlimited tanning, one massage per visiting day and half price cooler drinks. With the black card membership you are also able to visit any other Planet Fitness if you are out of town.
