Casey Treat: a Man on a Mission

Did you ever dream of doing something great? Yet, you satisfied yourself with mediocrity because of your past. After all, you didn't have an easy start in life.

Your childhood was dysfunctional. You didn't do well in school. You had a few run-ins with the law. You even got into drugs. Well, all of those excuses won't fly any more. Why? A man who struggled in all of those areas just built the largest church facility in the Pacific Northwest. His name is Casey Treat.

Casey Treat along with his wife Wendy Treat co-founded Christian Faith Center in January of 1980. It began with just 30 people, but grew over the years to 8,000 (weekly attendees). During this time, the validity of his ministry has been questioned because it's a rare gem in a sea of glass.

Unlike some ministries, Christian Faith Center truly does reach out to the poor, weak and disenfranchised people. If you attend any service, you'll see a rainbow of colors and a diversity of socioeconomic levels. The empowering message that Minister Treat teaches seems to reach everyone. And what is that message? That Jesus loves you and you should believe in his word.

The core basis of every message that Treat and his staff teach is that Jesus loves us and to believe in his word. In this non-denominational ministry, the bible is used as a text book that can teach us everything we need to know in life. It's simple. Basic. Anyone can follow it.
This underlying message seems to be the secret to his success and the fuel behind the church's continual growth. So now what?

The new church facility opening which occurred on September 2 marks only the beginning of what Casey Treat plans to do on that property.
