Next time you're throwing a party for your child instead of playing pin the tail on the donkey or beating the hell out of a pinata why not have a go playing Blood and Guts. Blood and Guts is an awful lot of fun but best to play with kids who have just begun their double digits birthdays. This game works best for a Halloween themed party.

Supplies

For this game you will need: cauliflower (you want it to be a little soft so boil it for a little bit and then let it cool down), peeled grapes, little sausages, peeled whole tomato, lettuce leaves that have been set out for awhile, some type of dried fruit, rubber glove filled with flour, cooked cold spaghetti, unsalted peanuts separated into halves.

You will also need a really good story. The story that was always told to us had to do with a military man that had been killed during war. This may no longer be the best storyline to go with.

The Set Up

Tell your party guests to sit in a circle with their eyes closed and their hands fanned out behind their backs. While the party guests get situated you want to start off by telling them a story. Here is an example of how the story should go.

Tell the guests the name of your victim. Tell a short history of the victim such as where he grew up, what his favorite pet's name was and what he wanted to be when he grew up. Let your guests know that the victim did in fact grow up to be what he wanted to be as a child. Ask the kids what they want to be when they grow up (this gets the emotionally involved in the story). Next inform the kids that the victim had an accident at work and that he unfortunately died (go into as little or as much detail as appropriate). Let your guests know that the police were able to find bits and pieces of the victim.

I did this when I was a kid. Except it was through arm sized holes cut out of plywood sheets. Very effective.
