Every year, there is one month stacked with games that have been anticipated for months, and even years. Usually, this month comes closer to the holidays. October, November, and even December, have all been months that were primed to be stacked with big releases from for Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo's trademark systems. But this year, Christmas is coming early, so to speak. September of 2007 has rolled in and has brought with it an unprecedented amount of Blockbuster hits for every Next Gen console. Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 Owners should be ecstatic. Their wallets, on the other hand, must prepare to take a pounding. Lets take a brief look at the major games coming out this month on the Xbox 360 that are sure to have your wallet crying for sweet mercy.

Halo 3: If you want to describe the month of September for Microsoft and its Xbox 360, only one word needs to be said: Halo. Perhaps the most anticipated game ever, Halo 3 has already garnered more than 5 million pre-orders. Add that to the amount of people who will buy it in the next two years and we could be looking at the best selling game of all time in the future. With all new weapons, award winning storylines, fantastic online gameplay, and Master Chief, Halo 3 is the game to get if you could only but one this September.

John Woo's Stranglehold: Even though Halo 3 is stealing the September spotlight, many other big name games are coming out, the first of these being Stranglehold. Directed by world famous John Woo, Stranglehold acts as the spiritual successor to his fan favorite movie Hard Boiled. Playing the role of Inspector Tequila is Chow Yun Fat, star of such movies as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Stranglehold plays as a Third Person Shooter with a few twists. Inspector Tequila has "Tequila Time" in his hands which allow him to create special moves, all in glorious "Bullet Time" slow motion. Add that on top of fully destructible environments, a Hollywood style stunt system, and frantic online play, and Stranglehold is sure to please many fans of the "Shoot Em Up" genre.
