Many women suffer from a low sex drive. If you do any kind of search for sex related information undoubtedly you will find tons of links to help a woman’s sex drive. It really doesn’t matter which search terms you use either, anything containing the word “sex” automatically brings up women and their lack of sex drive. This article will indicate which herbs or methods are useful to men, women or both.

Anyone can lose their interest in sex and there can be many causes that contribute to loss of desire. These include but are not limited to illness, injuries, stress, medications and alcohol. It’s always a good idea to determine if your loss of desire is related to prescription or over-the-counter medications. Your doctor will be able to tell you if a low sex drive is a possible side effect.

Before we get into the discussion of herbal treatments we should discuss other alternatives that may be more pleasurable to try before resorting to potions and tonics.

Men tend to more aroused by visual stimulation whereas women are more aroused by emotional stimulation. You can combine the two so that both of you get a little of what you need by using certain types of clothing or by watching erotic videos that have some type of plot to them.

Massage is another great stimulant that works well on both men and women. There are many different books that you can purchase to learn massage techniques for increased arousal. It should be mentioned that people tend to give a massage the way they wish to receive one. Men generally like more pressure when being massaged and women tend to like more of a feathery touch. You should discuss this when you first begin massage techniques so you can both enjoy the process. Men often claim that women don’t rub hard enough while women claim that men rub too hard so take this into consideration before you begin. It can also be sexually stimulating to “talk” about this during the massage. Many people are turned on by verbal gestures and this would be a good way to incorporate that into your foreplay session.

Takeaways
  • Check with your doctor about sexual side effects from prescription medications.
  • Combine visual and emotional stimulation with erotic videos.
  • Many countries use herbs as aphrodisiacs.

Very good information. Many people tend to overlook how often relationship issues are more often misunderstandings about the differences between male and female sex drives and interrests. Often when a man feels there is not enough sex (interpreted as "intimacy") in their relationship, they feel unattractive or unappealing, as if their partner is not interrested in them, while an oposite affect can happen to the women, who might feel the man is only interrested in sex, or they may feel they do not satisfy their partner enough. This can often lead to a situation where they may feel that if they do have sex, it's the man's idea and he gets what he wants but she makes the concession... If they do not have sex, she gets what she wants and he's left unsatisfied. I personally think that sex drive and differences between any two individual's sex drive, is not often enough, openly discussed.
