Millions of Americans suffer from stomach aches every year. Occasionally in these situations taking medication can make these pains worse or sometimes it's just plain better for you in the long wrong to use natural remedies for stomach aches. The purpose for this article is to list a few different natural cures and home remedies to help totally get rid of or at least sooth the pain from different types of stomach aches.

1. My favorite home remedy for stomach aches of the basic and not too severe kind is taking a few scoops of lime sherbet and putting it in a glass with some sprite. That one is really yummy and a really great remedy for children.

2. Another really good one which is good for stomach cramps and other types of stomach aches as well is taking a sock, (preferably a long one) filling it with rice, and make sure you tie it in a knot at the end. After you have done this put it in the microwave long enough for it to get pretty warm but not burning then when you place it on your stomach it will provide a lot of relief.

3. Eating yogurt is really good for stomach aches because it contains a lot of the bacteria that your stomach could sometimes be lacking during a stomach ache. Sometimes lacking this bacteria can be the whole reason why your stomach hurts.

4. Sometimes the reason why people get stomach aches is because they need a colon cleanse. Doing one of these can really help and aid in digestion as well even after your stomach ache is gone.

5. Some say drinking a teaspoon of vinegar can help get rid of stomach aches but I've never tried this one.

6. Try drinking some warm tea with peppermint and it can be very soothing, and also help you sleep.

7. Put 1 and half teaspoons of ground cinnamon into a cup of warm water, cover and let it sit, and then drink it like tea.

8. I have heard of people taking charcoal capsules but I've never tried it and it doesn't sound appetizing. It is supposed to work really well though.

9. Squeeze two lemons into a glass, add a little sugar to taste, and then mix it with baking soda drink the mixture while it's foaming and it's good for slight stomach pains.

Eat if you think it might be related to hunger! Try to go to the bathroom. As usual. Your feet must be in a higher level than the rest of your body, put some pillows below your feet and the ache will go away. Eat an herb which aids digestion, such as ginger (ginger-ale with ACTUAL ginger in it, or ginger snaps), peppermint (gum and candy cane as long as it is real peppermint) or Aloe Vera Juice (an anti-parasitic that aids digestion). Similar herb teas that help digestion include mint, ginger or chamomile tea. Place a heating pad on your abdomen to give temporary relief. Lie down for a few minutes and relax. Close your eyes. Place a cool moist washcloth over your forehead. Breath slowly and evenly, trying to keep your mind off of the pain. Sip a glass of iced water slowly. Eat bland foods; crackers, bread, rice, etc. Sometimes stomach aches are caused by too much acid floating around in your stomach with nothing to do. These foods will help absorb the acid to make t
