John Doe: This show is about a man who woke up one morning in a clearing on an island. When he woke up, he was stark naked and had no idea who he was, why he was there, or anything else about himself. This show debuted in September 2002 and only ran for 13 episodes. This show was cancelled due to poor ratings, but I know for a fact that the show wasn't handled well. I saw few commercials for it, and it aired last on Friday, the worst time to air a show you want to succeed (the only show in recent memory to take off and aired on Fridays was the X-Files, which moved to the Sunday time slot).
Threshold: This show was about an alien takeover and one woman's plan to stop it. Threshold ended after just one season. When it ended, the plot was almost as involved as any on the X-Files ever were. The cancellation caused many loose end that can no longer be tidied up. Questions about the show include: "Were the aliens actually evil, or were they really trying to prevent a man-made disaster?" and "Did the plan even work?"
