Money Problems Shadowed the Marriage of Prophetess Juanita Bynum and Bishop Thomas Weeks III
Financial problems can put a strain on any marriage. This seems to be one of the reasons for the failed marriage of Prophetess Juanita Bynum and her soon to be ex husband Bishop Thomas Weeks.
Atlanta's channel Fox 5 news has reported prior to the infamous attack on his wife in a hotel parking garage, Bishop Weeks was deep in debt when he and Prophetess Bynum moved from Washington D.C. to Atlanta last year to expand their ministry.
Some of his debt includes a $63,000 judgment from Xerox Corporation, a $22,000 judgment from the jewelry giant Tiffany and Co., a $13,000 judgment from a credit card company and from Ford Motor Credit- a $6,000 judgment.
The couple was leasing a 2.5 million dollar home with 6 bedrooms in the luxury golf community St. Marlo in Forsyth County. Back in June the couple received an eviction notice to vacate the luxury home due to owing over $54,000 in past due rent.
Fox 5 Atlanta goes on to report that when deputies went to serve Bishop Weeks the eviction notice, he and all the furniture were gone.
Money problems are one of the top reasons why couples divorce. What it boils down to is spending habits. A marriage can thrive when both partners are on the same page when it comes to financial habits. But when one partner over spends and they don't see eye to eye on money management, serious problems can arise in the marriage.
From the Fox 5 Atlanta report, it seems that Bishop Weeks and Juanita Bynum were spending money they simply did not have. How can a couple with such a huge ministry fall into the traps of debt? Was it a case of the more money you have, the more problems will arise?
Constant arguing over money can cause tension in a marriage. Often money can mask the real reason why a marriage is in trouble. When a couple argues over money, the words often turn into personal attacks that have nothing to do with money at all.
