Wasting away these summer days

Times like these will never be the same

Biting my nails, thinking of words to say

Holding your hand in that sweet sweet way

The man on my lighter stares blankly into space

I sit here listening to Purple Haze

My senses are sharp, my mind straight

Will i ever hallucinate

Poems take time just like writing a song

Drugs are bad, smoke weed, use a bong

Is it weird to dream, dream of you

Do I really need to, will it ever be true.
