Nothing says Halloween quite like huge bags of teeth-rotting candy. And the more revolting these sugary treats are, the better. Which is why I have spent weeks scouring the internet in order to come up with the top three most disgusting Pumpkin Day sweets on the planet. So if you have a few ghosts and goblins at home who love eating the kinds of Halloween creations that make other people recoil in horror--or if you just like to engage in this All Hallow's Eve mayhem yourself--then the following candies belong in your autumn cupboard ASAP...

1) Lick Your Wounds Candy Scabs ($1.65 for a pack of 5)

The mere idea behind this one is so nauseating it's pure genius. Each sweet is shaped like a bona fide Band-Aid, with real adhesive on the back for sticking it somewhere prominent on your body (I recommend elbows or knees to achieve that coveted Halloween-style realism). The padded central area of the bandage has a small plastic compartment which contains a hard, bumpy, scab-shaped candy with a cherry flavor. Translation: you can lick the "scab" like a lollipop in front of as many disgusted friends and family members as possible, and then save what you don't finish for later by merely snapping the compartment shut again. Best of all, Lick Your Wounds Candy Scabs come in a Band-Aid type tin, scoring a Pumpkin Day gold star for attention to detail.

Recommended activity: Wear a few Lick Your Wounds Candy Scabs while trick-or-treating. The sight of you French kissing a bloody Band-Aid will distract those nosy neighbors so much you'll probably get a few extra chocolate bars out of the deal.

2) Gummy Body Parts ($15.00 for a box of 100)

Did You Know?
Going door-to-door for candy on Halloween didn't really become a tradition until the 1950's.
