What They Claim
STK continues their quest on redefining steakhouse cuisine, with a menu that continues to evolve more and more for the better. Only the freshest of ingredients are used at this restaurant, which is obvious through the serving of many locally grown seasonal ingredients. Oftentimes, one may find the typical steakhouse meals, outside of the delicious steaks, boring and uneventful, however this is not the case here at STK. An alternative to the normal is what STK thrives on, and if one enjoys that sort of menu than this restaurant may be a good choice for them.
If one is coming as a small group, then the 200 seat lower dining room is perfect for them. However, here at STK, larger groups are accommodated for more so than most steakhouses, with several upper level private rooms for almost any size party out there. New Yorkers enjoy the soft light, wood adorned dining rooms, and the calm atmosphere that accompanies that is one that will bring one back for many more great meals at STK.
What We Say
If one comes to STK to eat, they will be welcomed with many different dining choices and meal sizes to choose from. Every meat dish comes in different size portions, from small all the way up to large, allowing one to get just the right amount of steak that they want. Great compliments to one's steak meal would be the garden salad with a crab mix and the parmesan-truffle fries, making one think that the food they were eating was sent directly from Heaven itself. Top everything off with their delectable fruit salad and one may have just experienced the best steakhouse meal they've ever had here at STK.
A very simple décor floods STK, and the primary accent colors are a nicely contrasting black and white. Beautiful windows leading out to the sunny day outside make for just a marvelous touch in a time period when everything seems to be artificially done. Fake elephant tusks and some of the finest in black leather provide a nice touch, and one is surely to be pleased with the atmosphere that this nice of a setting creates.
