These poker game room kitchen cabinets are the perfect way to resurface existing wood cabinets you may have in your poker game room (aka the basement or garage). Any space makes a great poker game room and cabinets add a ton of storage. So, you can also install old or used wood cabinets to add some storage options in your poker game room.

By the way, if you don't have wood or laminate cabinets in your poker gamer room, this same resurfacing paint treatment can be applied to an armoire, dresser, buffet, or almost any piece of furniture with doors and drawers!

To Resurface Existing Wood Cabinets Into Poker Game Room Cabinets You Will Need:

Green Latex paint (semi gloss)

White latex paint (semi gloss)

Red Latex paint (semi gloss)

Paint brushes

Card suit stencils

Painter's Taper

Primer

Paint brush

This easy kitchen cabinet or game room cabinet resurfacing project is fun and easy. I love using the existing lines of the kitchen cabinet doors to make poker night cabinets. The rectangle lines of the cabinets make the perfect playing cards!

So, to get started making your poker game room cabinets you will need to do a few things. Go ahead and take the cabinet doors off and pull out the drawers.

Now, sand all surfaces. Wipe away any dust.

Now, paint the surface of the cabinet doors, drawers, and cabinet frames with the primer. You will want to roll the paint on for the biggest impact.

Once the primer dries you want to paint the base or frames of the poker game night cabinets with the green paint. Go for a true green, like the green felt you see on poker tables.

Go ahead and paint out the fronts of the drawers in green as well.

Now, while the green paint is drying you want to paint the front of the cabinet doors with the white latex paint.

Apply, as may coats of each paint as needed. Most likely 2 will be the case.

Now, while all the paint is drying you will need to either run go buy or make some poker card suit stencils. These would be the hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds.

I find card suit stencils all the time at my local craft store (Michael's arts and crafts).

You may be lucky enough to find some stencils of aces, kings, queens, or other cards.
