When my son Ty started kindergarten he had a really hard time. He was very active and very hyper.

I took him to the doctors and told them what was going on. They run some blood tests and came back and said there was nothing wrong with him. I mentioned ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and they said he was to young to diagnose it.

Ty spent the first year of school pretty much sitting in a chair outside the classroom. I was pissed. I would go into the school about once a week and tell them that they couldn't just make him sit in the hall, he needed to learn, thats what they got paid for. They came back with "well Ma'am hes disrupting the whole class, we have 14 other children who need to learn also".

He finished his kindergarten year sitting in the hall. At the end of the school year, After I had taught my child what he needed they wanted to keep him back because of his behavior. Luckily I was moving and he was going to be going to another school. So I said no. That summer he turned 6. That Fall he went to a knew school.

They couldn't handle him, he was to disruptive. So they hired a Tutor to work with him one on one. At first they wanted the Tutor to come to my home and Tutor him. Now if I wanted to home school my child I would have done that in the first place, but I chose to send him to school. I didn't know anyone with children his age to play with and I wanted him to make some friends and have some interaction somewhere other then home. So we all got together. All meaning the school and a Representative from the Board of Education. Everything was settled and was going great.
