Pinkeye is a common eye problem that can spread very easily to others around us. Unless you know what to do to keep it from spreading. Pinkeye can be caused by a virus or bacteria. It can cause redness to your eye and even discharge of the eye. Making your eyes water and run. Pinkeye usually does not cause your eye to have any pain. And pinkeye should not effect your vision in any way. Pinkeye is known to be harmless and it usually clears up in about ten days time.

Pinkeye is very contagious. It can be spread in no time at all to many people. So it is best to try and keep it from spreading. Here are several ways that you can keep your pinkeye from spreading to others. First wash your hands a lot. This is very important to keep your hands clean at all time. Try not to touch or rub your eyes if you can. This is important to keep it from spreading to others. Try and keep the infected eye clean by washing it out reguraly. And when doing this make sure you use a disposable towel that you can throw away. You could use a paper towel or tissue to do this.

Try and stick with using just one towel that you can use. Don't use the same towel as others when drying your hands or face. Don't put anything on or in your eyes until the pinkeye has cleared up. If you wear contacts don't use them until your pinkeye has completely gone away. Never use eye makeup when your eyes are infected. This can make your pinkeye even worse and can be in danger of spreading it to both eyes. If you can keep your distance from other people until your pinkeye has cleared up. Most of these things that you can do to keep pinkeye from spreading is just common sense. Use your head and don't do things that may infect other people with pinkeye.
