I believe that dressing up as a Clown for Halloween is one of the oldest and amongst the most traditional Halloween costumes that you can easily find to dress your child up as for Halloween. But what if you don't want to purchase the Clown Halloween costume? Why not just make it yourself.

The Clown Halloween costume is made quite easily with the basis being that of a simple sweat suit. The Clown Halloween costume is very easy to make. You will have to acquire some other things in addition to your sweat suit to make the Clown Halloween costume but the total overall costs of this Halloween costume is very inexpensive.

The Clown Halloween Costume

The Clown Halloween costume is a Halloween costume that can be worn by children of all ages. When Halloween is over you can let your child wear their Clown Halloween costume to play in, which you rarely can do with traditional store bought Halloween costumes.

The following things are needed to make the Clown Halloween costume: White regular sweat shirt (a size larger than normal), white sweat pants, mismatched socks, red, blue, green, yellow, orange and pink craft or fabric paint, newspaper, paper plates, cardboard the size of the sweat shirt, small circular sponge, white black and red face paint, red gloves, crazy multi color wig, small cone shaped hat OR birthday hat, safety pins, loud bike horn and red shoes.

Once you have assembled the needed items proceed to Step 1.

Step 1. Lay your white sweat shirt on the table face up. Lay your sweat pants face up.

Step 2. Put your cardboard inside the sweat shirt. Then stuff newspaper inside the sweat pant legs and the sweat shirt arms.

Step 3. Pour some red craft or fabric paint on the paper plate.

Step 4. Dip your circular sponge into the red paint and then apply to the white sweat shirt in various spots all over the front of the shirt and on the front of the sweat pants.

Step 5. Pour some green craft or fabric paint on the plate, rinse your sponge. Then dip the sponge into the green paint and apply the green circles in various spots all over the front of the sweat shirt and pants.
