Being a Southern girl, I absolutely love pinto beans. But, being a busy college student, who works full-time, I don't have the time to prepare them from scratch. Luckily, there is a product that I have been eating for as long as I can remember. Luck's Pinto Beans are better than homemade. I love this product. Not only is this product delicious, but it's good for you too. Luck's Pinto Beans are a product that can always be found in my pantry. But, what makes them so special? Are they really any better than other brands? Find out what this Southern foodie really thinks about Luck's Pinto Beans.

Luck's Pinto Beans Review: Taste

As I mentioned above, Luck's Pinto Beans are better than homemade. That's because the soup is so thick. Normally, when you make them from scratch, you have to wait a few days for them to taste truly wonderful. This is a food that tastes better the older it gets. But, when you buy Luck's Pinto Beans, you are able to enjoy that delicious taste without having to wait several days and without going to a lot of trouble to make them.

Luck's Pinto Beans Review: Nutrition

For the most part, Luck's Pinto Beans are really good for you. A ½ cup serving only contains 130 calories, 2 grams of fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 6 grams of fiber, 1 gram of sugar, and 7 grams of protein. This is one Southern food you don't have to feel guilty about. Luck's Pinto Beans are also very filling and we all know how important all that fiber is.

Luck's Pinto Beans Review: Serving Suggestions

When I serve Luck's Pinto Beans I always make a pan of cornbread. I also like to serve Luck's Pinto Beans with pork chops, fried chicken, ham, or even just some fried potatoes and mustard greens. But, you can also mash them with a fork to create refried beans, which would be great in Mexican dishes.

Luck's Pinto Beans Review: Price

Luck's Pinto Beans cost around $0.50 a can. Add in some fried chicken and cornbread and you'll have a Southern feast for less than $5. If there's one good thing about good Southern food, like Luck's Pinto Beans, it's that it's affordable.
