One of the most common problems people have with the ears is wax buildup. In the last couple years, I have begun to experience a lot of troubles with wax buildup in the ears. I have tried over the counter earwax removal systems. During a recent episode with earwax buildup, I discovered hydrogen peroxide is highly effective in removing wax buildup from the ear canal. Heat the peroxide to approximately 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Use an ear syringe to drop the peroxide in the ear. Let the peroxide work for about three minutes in the ear. To rinse away the peroxide from the ear, tilt the head to one side and allow the peroxide and loosened ear wax to flow from the ear. It is always a good idea to rinse earwax from the ears at least twice a week.
Sometimes children are prone to earaches as a symptom of other illnesses including sore throat, flu, and the common cold. Each year, parents spend hundreds of dollars on antibiotic ear drops for their children's earaches. A good home remedy is warmed salt drops. Warm the salt drops to body temperature. Use a medicine dropper to drop the solution in the ear. Place a cotton ball in each of the ears to allow the solution to penetrate the ears and relieve the pain of earaches.
