FBI Offers Up to $100,000 for Information Leading to the Arrest of Jon Savarino Schillaci, the Latest Fugitive on the Ten Most Wanted List
In most cases being named to a top ten list is an honor. But when the list is the FBI'S Top Ten Wanted List, it is another matter entirely and that is what happened today to Jon Savarino Schillaci. He is a fugitive from New Hampshire who is wanted for allegedly sexually
assaulting a young boy in Deerfield New Hampshire.
The story begins in Texas, where Schillaci was serving a 10-year sentence for having sexually assaulted two eleven year old Texas boys. During that time, he established pen pal relationship with a family in New Hampshire and that relationship continued throughout his sentence. When he was released from prison, he was supposed to move to Boston, Massachusetts in order to attend school. He needed a place to live and the New Hampshire family agreed to take him in to give him a chance to begin a new life. When the family found out that Schillaci was allegedly assaulting their five-year-old son, they reported the matter to the police. This happened in October of 1999.
He was indicted by a Grand Jury in Brentwood, Rockingham County on November 4, 1999 on sexual charges. In December of 1999, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest for failure to appear. Once it became known that he had crossed state borders, the Boston Division of the FBI issued an Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution (UFAP) warrant, In September of 2000, they added additional charges of 23 counts of being in possession of child pornography.
Jon Savarino Schillaci a white male, 5'11", 180 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. His date of birth is December 14, 1971, in Oklahoma, He is also known by several aliases including Jon Willis, Christopher Keegan, and Cody Keegan.
Jon Savarino Schillaci is the 488th person to be placed on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list. The list was created by J. Edgar Hoover, the first director of the FBI back in March of 1950. Since that time, 457 fugitives have been apprehended or located, 150 of them with the help of citizens.
