Malware Attack Compromises Bank of India Security

On Thursday the 30th of August, operation that run the bank overall financial electronic data foundation had been hacked by a suspected criminal group, call the Russian Business Network. The logs of the hosting provider have been recalled to ascertain the damage and undeniable malicious codes.

Sunbelt Software Inc is a security software firm located in Clearwater, Florida, the company has made an alarming notification on August, 31st 2007, and in the direction given to its blog users, the Bank of India site had been subjected to security threats, and advised all of its users to stop any internet use as well as banking interaction until further notice.

There may have been more than just the one presumed hackers at hand, any customers that tried to log on to the site were temporarily redirected , where malware was downloaded to users computers alongside with Trojans that were not identifiable to most.

There will be further investigation involved in the quest to find the hackers identification and locations, of course there will be up-to-the-minute scrutiny due to this malicious act.

In correspondence toward the ongoing hacker attempts, Microsoft is also incorporating more security measurements this month; the procedures will add more security for all business and home base computer users.
