Most women jump in the shower racing the clock. Shower, shampoo, shave, and jump out. One thing that is easy to forget is to apply a body moisturizer. As the fall and winter season approaches the wind and cold robs your skin of moisture. Olay Body In-Shower Body Lotion allows you to moisturize before you finish your shower, and leaves your skin soft.

Olay Body In-Shower Body Lotion is applied in the shower. After bathing you apply quarter-sized amount to each part of your body. Smooth the Olay In-Shower Body lotion on then rinse it off. The lotion bonds with water to moisturize and create a moisture barrier for your skin. You then dry off with a towel, as usual.

Olay, claims Olay Body In-Shower Body Lotion is age defying. It moisturized my skin well, but it didn't make my skin appear any younger. There are much better age defying moisturizers available, but those products are not designed as time savers, to use in the shower.

For skin conditioning, Olay Body In-Shower Lotion contains VitaNiacin ®, vitamin E, vitamin B3, and vitamin B5. The rest of the ingredients include petroleum products in a water base. In my opinion, it is nothing special in terms of lotion.

A negative to Olay Body In-Shower Body is that it makes the floor of the shower or bathtub very slippery. Be careful to warn anyone who shares your shower if you have used this product, or they may find themselves slip-sliding away.

The other issue I had with Olay Body In-Shower Lotion is that I didn't feel fresh after showering and using Olay In-Shower Lotion. The lotion weighed heavily on my skin. I almost felt caked in it, like my pores couldn't breathe. I'm not making the scientific stretch that the lotion clogs pores, or doesn't work at all. It just didn't meet my needs and expectations.

My son found a great use for Olay In-Shower Body Lotion. He uses it as a shave cream. He has a sensitive face and says this product works better than any of the shaving creams or lotions designed for men's facial care.

Takeaways
  • Warning: Olay In-Shower Lotion makes shower and tub slick.
  • Works fine as a moisturizer, but there are better products on the market.
  • Best use: Shaving sensitive skin.

I like your review and I love this stuff. It does tend to make the shower floor slippery though. Be careful and enjoy it is my motto, lol.

I could imagine my husband falling in the shower if I used this! I'll take your advice and avoid this one.

I have both this and another brand and you have the same thought as me as to whether baby oil would serve the same purpose. I like the Caress in-shower lotion a bit better but it tends to be more expensive.
