As I walked down the streets of Philadelphia this week I noticed that there are all types of people; people from every walk of life. People of different colours and cultures and no one is exactly the same. This view is not particular to just Philadelphia or even the United States but to every major city worldwide; people from different cultures and colours can be seen and each of them has a unique heritage they represent. People are like diamonds; their colours, and cultures display their own identity to the light of the world at large.

For the Fashion Industry; an industry that affects the spending habits, appearances and concepts of beauty to billions of people. The Fashion Industry has always been known for dictating the expressed definition of beauty; the understanding of how light upon certain objects produces colours and the way of using these different colours and fabrics in combination to bring a marriage of beauty and skill.

It is also true that the Fashion Industry is largely a industry that is dear to many women; women who consider diamonds being a girls best friend; even I who am a man can look at these precious gems and understand they have a great importance in the fashion world for diamond have a multitude of colours and depending on how you hold a diamond in the light determines what colour is shown.

What I find most remarkable and amazing is that the Fashion Industry prides itself on beauty; knowledge of understanding of colours and versatility yet it is in danger and in many ways has become void of colour in general and with it going against the basic rules of its own industry. The Fashion Industry misses the most precious gems of all; they must value the diamonds that can be found in people; the difference of various races and cultures in total.
