Reason 1-They Know How to Deal With People
People skills and the food service industry go hand in hand. Think about it for a second. You primary job as server is to talk and communicate with your guest and if you are a great server, you are going to go out of your way to make that guest feel as if they are a guest in your home. You know if you do not treat this guest well that it can affect your bottom line. Meaning, if you treat that guest bad you are not getting a tip. The service industry helps you develop those people skills. It teaches you how to deal with upset guests and you should treat someone that is deciding to do business with you. This is a very desirable skill when it comes to the mortgage industry. You will be working with people everyday in your new career as a mortgage broker. The way you treat them is going to determine whether you will have a rewarding career as a loan officer. People skills are essential for success as a new mortgage broker.
