Vintage Halloween tablecloths are hard to find and expensive when you are lucky enough to come across one. You can easily make your own vintage Halloween tablecloth that is new, but will fool everyone!

So, take inspiration from vintage Halloween fabric and vintage Halloween tablecloths!

To Make Your Own Vintage Looking Halloween Tablecloths You Will Need:

Cotton duct fabric
Fabric paint
Tea or coffee
Paintbrushes
Stencils (optional)
Sewing machine or no sew

The first step in creating a vintage looking Halloween tablecloth is to decide on a design. Screeching cats, smiling jack o lanterns, witches on broom silhouettes, and moons are all very popular patterns on vintage Halloween fabric.

You can find photos of vintage Halloween fabric online to take inspiration from.

Now, use these retro Halloween images to create you own stencils or patterns. Draw out your design on paper, the outline. Now, trace this onto a sheet of acetate and cut out.

You can also find tons of Halloween images in the premade Halloween stencils at yoru local craft store. This will save time and energy!

Now, Try to buy your cotton duct in an orange color. You can also use any orange cotton fabric you would like.

Now, take your orange fabric and tea stain it to look aged and vintage. Simply fill your sink with hot hot water. Drop in some tea bags and let them steep until the water is dark. Now, let your orange fabric soak until it is a nice vintage orange color.

Wash and dry your vintage colored orange fabric.

Next, go ahead and hem the edges of your fabric. You can use a no sew or yoru sewing machine.

Now, you are ready to start stenciling. You can stencil a boarder on the tablecloth with your Halloween stencils.

Try to buy or create three different stencils. One medium, one large, and one small with different images.

Start with the large stencil and make one image in each corner, then stencil the image in the middle of each side and start from there. Fill in between with the smaller stencils.

Start with all of thes stencils in black. Let the black fabric paint dry.
