Halloween festivities are already underway at Walt Disney World Orlando and other attractions in the area, and getting tickets early ensures you won't miss out on the fun. This year, Walt Disney World in Orlando features fireworks, special entertainment, and Mickey's very own Halloween party. While Universal Studios in Orlando continues its annual Halloween Horror Nights throughout October, you won't want to miss out on a number of other exciting activities in the area. Here are the top spots to celebrate Halloween 2007 at Disney Orlando: Head over to the Magic Kingdom starting in mid-September for a trick-or-treat bag of your very own; visit with different cast members throughout the park to get your fill, or just wait for the parade at dusk to catch your own assortment. The Boo-to-YouHalloween Parade takes place at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. down Main Street; you'll know it's begun when the headless horseman makes his way over to your spot.
Halloween fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. with a quick introduction by Tinkerbell zooming by on a witch's broomstick. The Happy HallowWishes display is very different from the usual display in Orlando, so be sure to get in early and set yourself up for a 'spooktacular' show. It's great fun for the entire family, and will definitely kick off your Halloween festivities for the week.
The year's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks off on September 14, 2007 and runs just once or twice per week until Halloween night. You'll need to reserve some tickets for this one; just call 1-407-W-DISNEY, and you'll also receive a commemorative photo to take home with you.
Head to Pleasure Island for the 'Dance the Fright Away!' events on October 29-31. Other musical performances and shows take place at the West End Stage, with performances by the Spooky Stiltwalkers, Demonic Magician, Bad Witch, and Boo-Boo the Unstable Ghost. The entire Downtown Disney Marketplace will also be outfitted with Halloween decorations, and all cast members will be dressed in costumes.
